Recipe for Mocha Latte

What You Need:

  • Espresso Grinder
  • Espresso Machine
  • Top-Notch Espresso
  • Milk (Whole or Non-Fat)
  • Coffee Mugs
  • Chocolate Syrup
  • Whipped Topping (optional)

Step 1: Ground the Espresso
No matter what your flavor, the perfect latte starts with ground Espresso. The better Espresso used, the better the latte. And you need to grind the Espresso beans to just the right texture for the best end result. If you grind them too finely, your drink will be bitter. If you don't grind them enough, your latte will be too weak.

Step 2: Brew the Espresso
Now that you've have perfectly ground Espresso beans, turn on your machine. It takes 15 to 20 seconds to brew the Espresso if you have a good pump. There will be a brown foam or "crema" on top of the espresso when it comes out. When the liquid flowing out of the machine becomes whitish/brown, stop the process. That gunk will ruin your latte if you let it.

Step 3: Froth the Milk
Once you have 1-2 ounces of espresso, steam milk using the steam heating tool on your espresso machine.

Step 4: Bring on the Mocha
Add a 1.75 teaspoon of chocolate syrup to a coffee cup, then pour over your 2 ounces of freshly brewed espresso and lastly, add the steamed milk, stirring carefully while lifting from the bottom to bring the chocolate syrup up to the top. Top with a dallup of whipped topping and you're home free.

Enjoy!
